Scott and John have been in the industry for over 30 years, coming from multiple generations of self-employed home builders. The brothers learned everything they know about hardwood flooring through self-teaching, hard-work and dedication to their craft.

I had hired another company to do my floors. They did not show up on the day they were to start. A friend suggested that I call Scott. He came and gave me an estimate within a few days. He kept me informed about what he was going to do each day and when we could walk on the floor each night. He completed my floors in 4 days and they are beautiful. They were in bad shape and now they look new. Showed up on time each morning and finished a day earlier than I expected. Couldn’t be happier with his work. I highly recommend Scott and his son.
A friend referred me to Achterberg Flooring, and said they do excellent work. I contacted Scott, and he came by, and made an estimate. I felt the estimate was very reasonable, and set a date to have my floors refinished. The next week he started the repairs. While doing the floors, he also did wood restoration on my picture windows, my bathroom, and a wooden closet in one of the bedrooms. I could not be more pleased with the finished product. Scott and his son Heath are honest and considerate people. They truly believe in doing excellent work for their customers.
Scott and his son Heath refinished the oak floors in my home which had really yellowed with age and faded from the sun. They did a fantastic job, worked hard, were very courteous and informative, and very accommodating to my wishes. I highly recommend Scott Achterberg!!

I was only going to have my living room refinished but once I saw the quality and workmanship that Scott and his son did, I decided to have an additional 3 bedrooms, my entire upstairs, and 2 sets of stairs done by them as well. If you’re looking for a professional hardwood flooring service that does great quality work and completes the job within a timely fashion and does amazing clean up afterwards than you can’t go wrong with Achterberg Floor Refinishing.
